Father and Son

My dad honestly confessed to me that he never carried me when I was still a baby. That is why seeing my husband so fond of my baby and even taught me how to change Aizen's diapers, makes me appreciate his efforts to be a great dad for Ahgi. Not a lot of guys that are willing to goof around to the extent of looking a lot silly and foolish, but he's more than willing to those things for our baby's thrills. A kid at heart...... but a most responsible man. A Child's Hug a poem by Salvador Galvez There are times when life overwhelms us. We talk and try to resolve our problems. We seek the All Mighty's Mercy. From the helpless we ask, they deem us crazy. We run around in circles to the point of dejavue. When we finish the round we start over again. While sitting watching closely, a child wants to be wooed. We have no time for childish things worry is in our brain. Gentle tugs we most surely ignore. While the little one is waiting to adore. Some times the...

Mommy Bonding

Still without a nanny, I was stuck with Aizen for the whole day and night. No, I'm not complaining but there were times that it will really worn you off. Luckily, my husband was helpful. Before going to his office, he will buy first stuffs and meals for me and letting me finish giving morning baths to our baby. At least, that had lessen my load.

One Month Down...Forever To Go...

We were not suppose to celebrate his 1st "monthsary" for the simple reason that there's no such thing but what changed our minds was Aizen won't stop crying and everybody's nagging us to celebrate it. August 4th had passed and Aizen, as usual, didn't let me sleep the whole night. So the next day (August 5th), I cooked spaghetti and my husband bought a cake. Thus, breaking our principle of not celebrating "monthsaries". :D

Moments of this Kiddo

Just some early moments of Ah-gi.

Reality Bites

It was a nightmare for me. Not that I have Aizen, but his endless crying. Every night, from 9:00 pm to 5-6: 00 in the morning, he go hay-wire and like a siren that yells. I often do have migraines and there were times that whenever he cried, I cried with him. With such a little body, I wonder where that loud voice came from. At least it was already over. Sleepless nights

The Arrival

Everybody was so afraid of you. You were so fragile......

Now You're Here

It was around 10 in the morning of July 4, 2008, we are just waiting for Ate Ime (my OB-Gyne) at WCMC with my husband. I still have 2 weeks more before my due date and not expecting anything earlier than that. Alas! My OB proclaimed....... "You're already 3-4 cm. Do you want to be admitted now or you could go home first then come back around 6:00pm?" . We were in shock! I didn't expected that because I didn't felt anything - no labor pains or my water-bag hadn't broke yet. We went home though I have a room already reserved for the night. My husband went to his office to take care some of things including his leave and announcing that I'm already in my due. My mom-in-law came and I just went to sleep that afternoon. When I woke up, it's already 4:00pm and we're ready to go back to the hospital with everything ready with us. We first said an intense prayer for my safety and a miracle that there would nothing happen to and my baby ( I have an as...

Our Sneak Peeks of Aizen

Image
The very first time I had my ultrasound and other laboratory tests, is with my husband and I was just in my 3rd month of pregnancy. It was a bit scary and exciting then to know if there is really a baby inside my tummy. The moment we saw in the monitor a series of figures, we thought it will like in the movies that there will be tears and we will all be emotional..... in contrary, there were laughs. We can't really tell which is which! The sonographer explained all the parts and we then figured out that what we thought of was a different part instead. We too saw the baby flexed his biceps (as his dad exclaimed). To sum up what happened that day...... It was the wake-up call that I really do have a baby inside me and soon to be a mom :)

Our Beloved Son

I found out I was pregnant in late December 2007 It scared the hell out of me. As months pass feeling you grow each day seeing my belly grew more Something I couldn’t hide But you were my miracle and pride. Sixth month came and you move more Like a fish in my belly You play and as daddy touch you you kicked hard as if telling us "Let’s play now" My clothes are getting tighter Making me feel like a cow and sad Feeling weak and heavy Though getting excited For the day that I can hold and see you to come. I love you Von Aizen Forever and always, Together with daddy, You’ll be our special boy. You changed our lives in so many ways And I thank God for the most wonderful gift of all… The gift of Life to my Son 2 Months! Got myself 2 dark eye bags, been taking Mephenamic acids quite often due to frequent migraines and my left wrist hurts. NO, I don’t have any mysterious illness or been to another injury due to my trademark clumsiness. These are all b...
